Servicing the Gateshead area and surrounding suburbs for more than 45 years, Gerry Wubbels Automatics (LIC# MVRL6340) is your local mechanic and Transmission Specialist.

Gerry Wubbels Automatics are transmission, power steering and differential specialists located on the Pacific Highway heading south from Newcastle. We are proud of our large and custom built workshop area, and offer a full and comprehensive workshop ability including new car warranty log book servicing.

Our mechanics also do Wheel Alignments, Pink and Blue Slips, Child Restraints, Engine Repairs, Recon, Tuning, EFI, tyres and Air Conditioning.

After carefully inspecting the vehicle, our technicians carried out the necessary suspension repairs to restore stability, comfort, and performance. With the repairs completed, the Tundra was then placed on the hoist for a precision wheel alignment to ensure the suspension geometry was correctly set and the tyres would wear evenly. At Gerry Wubbels Automotive, we recently completed suspension repairs on a Toyota Tundra that came into our workshop with worn suspension components affecting ride quality and handling. Suspension and steering components play a critical role in how your vehicle handles on the road. Worn shocks, bushes, ball joints, or other suspension parts can lead to poor handling, uneven tyre wear, and reduced driving comfort. Following repairs, a professional wheel alignment helps maximise tyre life, improve fuel efficiency, and ensure your vehicle tracks straight and safely. Once the alignment was completed, this Toyota Tundra was ready to get back on the road and perform like new again. If you've noticed your vehicle pulling to one side, uneven tyre wear, excessive bouncing, or unusual noises from the suspension, it's time to have it checked by the team at Gerry Wubbels Automotive. We provide expert suspension repairs, steering inspections, wheel alignments, and general vehicle servicing to keep you driving safely and confidently. Need suspension repairs or a wheel alignment? New Car Service in Gateshead

Engines that operate through internal combustion rely on large amounts of clean air to ensure the fuel burns properly and generates the power needed to drive the vehicle. At Gerry Wubbels Automotive in Gateshead, we understand how vital it is to keep your car's air filter in good condition as part of protecting your engine's health. Your engine requires extremely clean air to function efficiently. Dirt, dust, and other particles entering the engine can cause serious damage. That’s where the air filter comes into play. It ensures the air entering the combustion chambers is clean, shielding key engine components such as the pistons and cylinders from wear and damage. Why Replace Your Air Filter? Save on Fuel Costs: Your engine requires the correct balance of fuel and air to run efficiently. A clogged air filter restricts airflow, causing your engine to run inefficiently – often referred to as ‘running rich.’ This not only puts additional stress on your engine but can also increase fuel consumption by up to 10%. No one likes spending more on petrol than necessary! Protect Your Engine: Over time, air filters become clogged and weaker, increasing the risk of damage. A damaged or overly dirty air filter can allow harmful particles to enter the engine, potentially leading to expensive repairs. Benefits of Replacing Your Air Filter: Extends the life of your engine Improves fuel efficiency Reduces vehicle emissions At Gerry Wubbels Automotive, we always check the condition of your air filter during every full car service. Whether it’s a major or minor service, or one that follows your manufacturer’s handbook or logbook guidelines, you can trust us to keep your engine running smoothly.

Keep your engine healthy with clean air filters. Improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and extend engine life. Visit Gerry Wubbels Automotive for expert maintenance and reliable car servicing.
